A number of large packages were removed from unstable recently, including PHP 4, Exim 3, BIND 8, Apache 1, and emacs-snapshot. We need volunteers to go through the outstanding bugs of these packages to see whether bugs are specific to the old version of a package and should be closed, or whether they still apply to the latest upstream version and should be reassigned.
