Currently it covers the specific aspects of Stateful Linux firewalls to enable high availability solutions and can be used as statistics collector of the firewall use. ---snip--- I´m using the conntrackd daemon for several months now in conjunction with heartbeat to provide high available linux firewalls and it works great. It´s an "easy-to-use solution" for syncing the netfilter connection tracking tables between linux machines. No kernel patch is required!
