Do you have an estimation of the proportion of bugs that should be open? If less than half of bugs not found in a version ulterior to some version should be open, closing these bugs sounds like an idea. It would be less rude to first warn about the upcoming closure and ask owners to mark these bugs as found in the current version if they're reproducible there. To make it easier for owners to test iceape, please wait for it to be in testing before sending these messages (if you decide to procede this way).
