svn.debian.org account database is separate from the usual Debian developers account. It is hooked into Alioth's account database. http://wiki.debian.org/Alioth http://wiki.debian.org/AliothFAQ Thus the password is different, if you never used svn.d.o before, you'll need to ask for a new password.
