At the lease I would appreciate (as a python application package maintainer) a post to debian-python with some confirmations from the involved parties. There has been a lot of confusion and conflict as to which solution package maintainers should follow. A sign of agreement on that list would be welcome. I would like to get a warm happy feeling that I won't have to change packaging again in a few days/weeks. It would also be helpful if this document http://people.debian.org/~aba/python-policy/ (was http://people.debian.org/~piman/python-policy/ before, but I just noticed http://www.debian.org/doc/packaging-manuals/python-policy/ is also 0.4.1.0) was updated with respect to the new rules (e.g. handling of XS-Python_Version). All in all I'm glad the conflicts seem to be over and appreciate the hard work that has been put into this. -- -- arthur - [EMAIL PROTECTED] - http://people.debian.org/~adejong --
