Well, I've never actually done this, and I got through NM. (I've always used debhelper, although I've sponsored and/or comaintained packages using CDBS before and have poked a little at yada.) I'm certain that I *could* do this if I wanted to, as it's all fairly clearly documented, but I've never gone through the exercise. I agree with all the complaints Steve has, but the one that bugs me the most is the lack of documentation. If something goes wrong with CDBS, there really doesn't seem to be a recourse other than figuring out what's going on by reading the source. We had a problem with Shishi with dependencies not showing up in the dependency list of the built packages that was worked around by reordering the packages in debian/control, and I never could figure out just what was going on from the CDBS makefiles.
