Can you back this up? Which developer did I characterize as
unethical? Whom did I so name? Or do you want to take it outside?

So what do you suggest? When asked why do I not follow a
practice I deem unethoical, and I find other people (who do not think
it unethical) follow this, what should I do? Lie? Refuse to explain
why I am taking a stance? Plead the fifth?
I was very careful to always characterize the issue as "a
practice I find unethical", which is an accurate statement of my
views. Your mileage varies. I did not start talking about people
following practices I find unethical, though I have known about it
for ages -- until I had to explain why I was orphaning a package on
principle. If you want to make it personal, you are of course free
to do so, but do it off list. Most people, like me, are unlikely to
find that interesting.
