But you do build-depend on other GUI toolkits already, GTK+ and Tk. (OK, perhaps Qt is a bit more troublesome than those.) (3) If you drop aRts support, I'd expect for it to be temporary, i.e., reintroduced when libarts1 is libarts1c2.
