You sent this to a list where English language is recommended. I will however assume that, as you propose work about French translation, you understand English. Si ce n'est pas le cas, dis-le moi..:-) You should come and join the debian-l10n-french mailing list (see http://lists.debian.org for instructions about joinging Debian mailing lists). We have a lot of work for you there..:-) Just come up, look how things work. You will at first be a little bit scared by the jargon we use and the cryptic subject lines and so on....:-). Don't be scared and feel free to ask whatever question coming to your mind (French OK, of course). I already have a task for you : writing (in French) the newbie documentation we desperately need to properly welcome people just like you who want to contribute and join us on the French localization mailing list..:-).
