For some of the packages that provide them (like systat) the tasks are pulled in from the depends:, for other packages there might be users that might not want an active cron job. Take 'sac' for example, a user that installs sac, installs a tool to do something, he doesn't necessarily want a cronjob to send sac's output to him weekly, for example. Regards Javier
