Hi, I am asking for discussion about bug #290623. The bug basically says that it is a bad idea to generate system accounts with primary group "nogroup", which I feel is a valid report.
The bug report continues to suggest generating a dedicated group for each system account that has been generated under USERGROUPS set, which I find a good idea. This leaves to be discussed how adduser should behave with USERGROUPS unset. Which group to choose? The bug report suggests using a dedicated group like "sysusers", which I do not quite like with regard to the pre-defined group "sys" which will be confusing if paired with sysusers.
