France makes it illegal to use or posses cryptography (at least at one time, during the height of the crypto iron wall era --- Al Gore, Tear Down This Wall!). Yet we still shipped crypto code despite the fact that possessession of crypto without a license could land you in jail in France. Saying that we won't ship code just because it might be illegal in some random country is a very slippery slope. - Ted
