Yes, since aptitude tries to recompile the failed packages
after trying every package at least once, and that would have taken
care of an ordering issue ...
Perhaps it is time to symlink the .el files into the
emacs21/site-lisp dir, and thus having the .el files in the
load-path? (sorry if you already do this, I am away from my home
machine at the moment)
