I agree. It was by a user's request that I changed it from a dependency to a recommendation. Right, the old cjk-latex didn't provide the Japanese Wadalab DNP fonts, but it did *suggest* HBF kanji48 fonts. HBF are bitmap fonts, but as you can imagine the result wasn't too pretty. Cheers!
