Aha!  It must be between square brackets, not accolades.
So "[dnp]" and not "{dnp}".
I thought this was fixed in debiandoc-sgml?

Indeed, it has a nasty DOS encoding.  Ewww, where did that come from?


Here's what I did with a clean maint-guide-1.2.7 source:

$ debiandoc2latex -l ja maint-guide.ja.sgml
$ latex maint-guide.ja.tex
$ pdflatex maint-guide.ja.tex

And both the DVI and the PDF work perfect.  Are you really sure you're
using the latest debiandoc-sgml package?
