I still don't see why it should affect booting the _installer_. Is reinstallation not the final (and in the case of Windows often the only) option to get back to a working system after a partition was "damaged"? Now you don't even have that option... > Could you manage to get a final Vista or is this old the pre-Beta1? It is the Vista Beta2 installation DVD I've been using all along.
