That MR also contains a patch that configures the Salsa CI pipeline. The pipeline would have caught the negative effects of the broken merge (for example, the inability to produce `arch-any` binaries).
Could you please enable the CI for the libtool project? (Easiest way: <https://salsa.debian.org/mckinstry/libtool/-/settings/ci_cd>, in "General pipelines" set the project CI/CD configuration file to `debian/salsa-ci.yml`)
