I guess you mean having libscotchparmetis-dev provide a link from
libscotchparmetis.so to libptscotchparmetisv3.so. It already has a
compatibility link from libparmetis.so.
opm at least seems to be happy without it and is finding the library
successfully. What would be the real use case for it? I'm hesitant to
add it if upstream hasn't considered it important to already provide
it.
Indeed, that was what I meant. It must have been there previously, but I
agree
that we should probably follow upstream.
Upstream of DUNE and OPM need to support that anyway. I will fix the
CMake find
modules in DUNE and OPM.
