After a fresh install of mc, attempting to run it results in a missing library error: | $ mc | mc: error while loading shared libraries: libcom_err.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory | $ ldd /usr/bin/mc | grep 'not found' | libcom_err.so.2 => not found After manually installing libcom-err2, all is well (as expected).
