Yavor, I think it would be better for Debian for gnial to be removed from Debian.
It has only had one upload since 2004 and that was an NMU because debhelper compat 2 isn't supported! It doesn't separate Debian changes from upstream code with patches which makes it really hard to decipher what was changed 15 years ago and why. The project's last upstream release was in 2000. One of those Debian changes was to port it *to* GNOME 2. I apologize for the time you spent working on this package. Please let me know what you think we should do here. Thanks, Jeremy Bicha
