I strongly disagree with this justification. The package is very useful for many people, it doesn't work in specific environment only. Unfortunately this is impossible for me, because I don't have powerpc systems around, and can't run your environment. Maybe it is possible to reproduce this problem inside qemu powerpc virtual machine (using qemu-system-ppc), but I don't know anything about powepc, and don't even know what's needed to install/run a powerpc debian system. Hence I'm tagging this bugreport with `help' tag. Maybe someone else will be able to help. Sorry, /mjt
