Package: qemu-user-static Version: 1:2.1+dfsg-12+deb8u2 Severity: grave Tags: upstream Justification: renders package unusable
Dear Maintainer, using a debian chroot for armel in a powerpc linux environment this issue can be obtained: sudo chroot debian-systems/armel/wheezy/ bash: xmalloc: ../bash/variables.c:3532: cannot allocate 1433 bytes (32768 bytes allocated) on a x86_64 linux enviroment it works fine. On the powerpc(32 bit) using: sudo chroot debian-systems/armel/wheezy/ /bin/sh it works. sudo chroot debian-systems/armel/wheezy/ /bin/dash it works. Only bash seems to be affected. Please help me to workaround this situation on powerpc because it is the only laptop I have and I need a working qemu chroot environment as in x86_64. -- System Information: Debian Release: 8.2 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: powerpc (ppc) Kernel: Linux 3.16.0-4-powerpc Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) qemu-user-static depends on no packages.
