Shipping it with jessie is irrelevant to using it for Debian images. > After all, corrupted installation media could possibly result > in serious data loss and I don't think it's acceptable to have > such dangerously unreliable software in Debian. Completely disagree: unetbootin is the tool of choice to create bootable images for a variety of distributions, so shipping it with Debian is correct, for those distributions. Just that the software should not be used for creating broken *Debian* images. That is something to be fixed upstream, because the person using it for such is typically *not* running Debian. bye, //mirabilos -- tarent solutions GmbH Rochusstraße 2-4, D-53123 Bonn • http://www.tarent.de/ Tel: +49 228 54881-393 • Fax: +49 228 54881-235 HRB 5168 (AG Bonn) • USt-ID (VAT): DE122264941 Geschäftsführer: Dr. Stefan Barth, Kai Ebenrett, Boris Esser, Alexander Steeg -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-rc-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
