I installed the test kernel package
(linux-image-3.2.0-4-amd64_3.2.65-1+deb7u1~test_amd64.deb - hopefully I
picked the correct one), and suspend to ram is now working as it was
before the problem appeared: this appears to have fixed the issue for me.
