Control: tag -1 confirmed patch I was able to reproduce this and it appears to have been introduced by "x86, 64bit, mm: Mark data/bss/brk to nx" in 3.2.65. Reverting that and the subsequent commit "x86, mm: Set NX across entire PMD at boot" fixed it for me.
