Btw, is there anything special about your setup, e.g. how does your partition layout look like? Do you have any remote mounts? Custom modifications to the file system, like /tmp being symlinked or bind mounted somewhere? -- Why is it that all of the instruments seeking intelligent life in the universe are pointed away from Earth?
