Is there a simple way to get your 5.10.0 preliminary package, for instance by
using dget?
found in this ppa:
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/doko/toolchain/ubuntu trusty main
deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/doko/toolchain/ubuntu trusty main
just the package: https://launchpad.net/~doko/+archive/toolchain/+packages
and look for the plplot dsc file.
I did now comment out the octave-plplot binary package in the control file for
now.
I did a quick look at this. It seems that the Octave binding to PLplot
is not in a very good shape. I am not following the upstream development
anymore and I cannot tell whether is is really actively maintained or
not.
At any rate, it is perhaps better for now to disable the octave-plplot
package in Debian, as you did in your Ubuntu package. Could you please
propagate this change into Debian? This will help with the octave
3.6 -> 3.8 transition.
