AIUI did #720296 cause the removal of apt-cacher-ng from testing. http://packages.qa.debian.org/a/apt-cacher-ng/news/20131015T163915Z.html is not really clear about the real reason for removal from testing. Something else, but related to this offer to help. Is there a public SCM repository with the authoritive version of apt-cacher-ng? The mecurial repo at Alioth was empty last time (about a month ago) I checked.
