Unfortunately this is only half the truth. It further fails on kfreebsd-amd64 because of the GCC hack and with some Java issue on kfreebsd-i386. I'm currently working on fixing at least the flag issue and the build on kfreebsd-amd64. No idea about kfreebsd-i386 atm.
