Hi, I'm having the same issue today on testing, after a dist-upgrade: Setting up linux-image-3.2.0-4-amd64 (3.2.46-1) ... Running depmod. Examining /etc/kernel/postinst.d. run-parts: executing /etc/kernel/postinst.d/dkms 3.2.0-4-amd64 /boot/vmlinuz-3.2.0-4-amd64 run-parts: executing /etc/kernel/postinst.d/initramfs-tools 3.2.0-4-amd64 /boot/vmlinuz-3.2.0-4-amd64 update-initramfs: Generating /boot/initrd.img-3.2.0-4-amd64 cp: cannot stat `/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/pango/1.6.0/module-files.d/libpango1.0-0.modules': No such file or directory E: /usr/share/initramfs-tools/hooks/plymouth failed with return 1. update-initramfs: failed for /boot/initrd.img-3.2.0-4-amd64 with 1. run-parts: /etc/kernel/postinst.d/initramfs-tools exited with return code 1 Failed to process /etc/kernel/postinst.d at /var/lib/dpkg/info/linux-image-3.2.0-4-amd64.postinst line 696. dpkg: error processing linux-image-3.2.0-4-amd64 (--configure): subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1
plymouth version in testing and unstable is 0.8.8-6. Is it safe to reboot or not? Would removing plymouth be a temporary fix?
