To be honest I don't remember becoming a maintainer on this. I wrote the code, and then someone heard about it and asked if they could package it up as a debian module, which seemed like a good thing. Who else have you got down against this project these days? Are the guys who originally did the debian packaging still around? I know a few good projects that use this module, and I'd like it to stay available but I've never really gone into the details of the debian packaging and distribution. It's something I'd like to learn about, but I'm already pushed for time, and I don't know that it's realistic in the next week.
