Hi, I would suggest another approach to solve this bug: liblangscan-ruby, the only binary package built by this source package has only one reverse dependency, gonzui, which is condemned to work only with Ruby1.8, since it depends on libdb-ruby1.8/ruby-bdb which does not provide a library for Ruby1.9.
Therefore, I would suggest to remove the build dependency on the ruby package, as this would pull Ruby 1.9 (default version in Wheezy), and ensure that Ruby1.8 is used during the configuration/compilation. I am shortly sending an NMU patch for this issue. Cheers, Cédric
