Package: libwine Version: 0.0.20050310-1.1 Severity: critical Justification: breaks unrelated software
With the libwine package installed the "Wine Marlett" font replaces all instances of the "Monospace" font (which is the default system font). This makes any terminal windows opened under Gnome completely unusable, as the text is replaced by a bunch of symbols. I'm not exactly sure why when the font /usr/share/fonts/wine/wine_marlett.ttf is installed, all references to the "Monospace" font get replaced with that font. Simply removing this file (without uninstalling wine), fixes the problem. -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.8-2-386 Locale: LANG=, LC_CTYPE= (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Versions of packages libwine depends on: ii debconf 1.4.30.13 Debian configuration management sy ii freeglut3 2.2.0-8 OpenGL Utility Toolkit ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-22 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libfreetype6 2.1.7-2.4 FreeType 2 font engine, shared lib ii libgcc1 1:3.4.3-13 GCC support library ii libice6 4.3.0.dfsg.1-14sarge1 Inter-Client Exchange library ii libncurses5 5.4-4 Shared libraries for terminal hand ii libsm6 4.3.0.dfsg.1-14sarge1 X Window System Session Management ii libstdc++5 1:3.3.5-13 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii libx11-6 4.3.0.dfsg.1-14sarge1 X Window System protocol client li ii libxext6 4.3.0.dfsg.1-14sarge1 X Window System miscellaneous exte ii libxi6 4.3.0.dfsg.1-14sarge1 X Window System Input extension li ii libxmu6 4.3.0.dfsg.1-14sarge1 X Window System miscellaneous util ii xlibmesa-gl [libgl 4.3.0.dfsg.1-14sarge1 Mesa 3D graphics library [XFree86] ii xlibmesa-glu [libg 4.3.0.dfsg.1-14sarge1 Mesa OpenGL utility library [XFree ii xlibs 4.3.0.dfsg.1-14sarge1 X Keyboard Extension (XKB) configu -- debconf information: wine/move_to_fhs: -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
