Package: brewtarget
Version: 1.2.4-1
Severity: serious
Justification: Policy 2.2.1

Hello,
according to its debian/copyright file [1], this package includes
some images licensed under the terms of CC-by-nc-nd-v3.0:

| Files: images/flag*.png
| Copyright: 2009-2010, A68 Freelance Graphics Designs <a68desi...@gmail.com>
| License: CC-BY-NC-ND-3.0

[1]
http://packages.debian.org/changelogs/pool/main/b/brewtarget/current/copyright

This license definitely fails to meet the DFSG (the major issues
are with DFSG#1 and DFSG#3).
Please replace these images with DFSG-free ones or move the package
to the non-free archive.

Moreover, the debian/copyright file [1] also states that Oxygen icons
are licensed under the terms of CC-by-sa-v3.0:

| Files: images/edit-copy.png images/document-print-preview.png
| images/merge.png images/printer.png images/server-database.png
| Copyright: David Vignoni et al. <www.oxygen-icons.org>
| License: CC-BY-SA-3.0

Do I read correctly on the official website [2] that these icons
are actually dual-licensed under the terms of CC-by-sa-v3.0
and the GNU LGPL ?

If this is confirmed, please fix the debian/copyright file,
since it is currently inaccurate.
BTW, the full text of CC-by-sa-v3.0 must be included in
the debian/copyright file, since it's not in
/usr/share/common-licenses/

Finally, the debian/copyright file [1] states that restore.png
is licensed under the terms of CC-by-v3.0:

| Files: images/restore.png
| Copyright: FatCow Web Hosting <www.fatcow.com/free-icons>
| License: CC-BY-3.0

This *seems* to be correct, at a first glance, as the referenced
website [3] says:

| These icon sets are licensed under a Creative Commons
| Attribution 3.0 License.

[3] http://www.fatcow.com/free-icons

Unfortunately the copyright holders seem to change their minds or
to be very confused about the meaning of the license, as they
state immediately after:

| The icons may not be resold, sub-licensed, rented, transferred
| or otherwise made available for use.

This is clearly an additional non-free restriction (failing DFSG#1)
not included in CC-by-v3.0 or otherwise a non-free interpretation
of CC-by-v3.0: in either case, it means that the copyright holders
did not license the image in a DFSG-free manner.
Please replace the image with a DFSG-free one or move the package
to the non-free archive.

I hope these issues may be fixed soon.

Thanks for your time.
Bye.
