I have built and installed that, i.e., "a19d07..". It builds, tests,
and installs correctly on kfreebsd-amd64. Running "ifup" and "ifdown"
repeatedly in succession is now idempotently working correctly, at least
when using my combination of static inet and static inet6 setting.

The "route -n" still needs better guess working, though! Disabling
"avahi-daemon" does not help.
