Yes, good point. I should have done that, when I removed the other
native-quilt stuff. That was kind of the point. ;)

Yes, true again. And quite correctly guessed.

I'm doing most of my work on my laptop, where I'm running stable. The
dpkg-source there doesn't pass `--abort-on-upstream-changes' per
default, which is why I never saw this.

I added a "debian/source/local-options" file to add that option.

Well, I prefer whichever gets this over with the fastest. ;)

If you've got the time, I wouldn't mind if you'd just uploaded an
updated package. The github repo contains additional changes, which
addresses the issues you've raised.

If you see any other problems, shout. :)
