Hey gregor,

I actually got an updated package ready since about a month. I just
didn't get to asking my sponsor to upload it yet. The updated code is
here:

  <https://github.com/ft/debian_fdm>

An appropriate .orig.tar.gz file is here:

  <https://github.com/downloads/ft/debian_fdm/fdm_1.6+cvs20111013.orig.tar.gz>

All that is based on a CVS snapshot from upstream, which is very and
upstream could release as a new version. (I asked the developer about
this a while back, and he said that technically there's nothing that
would forbid releasing the code. He is just very busy and can't make
time ATM.) - Anyway, the updated package would address both bugs you're
addressing.

I'm unsure about what the procedure is now that you got an NMU in the
pipeline.

Regards, Frank
