The libreoffice-core package is correct and has a correct dependency of the packaged libpng12-0. Who said to remove libreoffice? None. > What's a package system for, then? Amonsgst others for exactly preventing stuff like happened here with having incompatible random versions of libraries lying around somewhere randomly where the linker finds it.
