I applied your patch and it build on most arches now. It failed on kfreebsd-amd64 with: /bin/bash: line 5: 77887 Killed TERM='' CFLAGS='-DHAVE_CONFIG_H -g -O2 -O2' CPPFLAGS='' DEBUG_USAGE='' testsubdir=./testdir INCS='' ${dir}$tst FAIL: usage.test I'm still waiting for a few results, but expect that to be the only problem.
