Package: libcdk-java Version: 1:1.2.8-1 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable
While helping the user who reported bug #627683 with the missing dependencies, we discovered that xml data files are missing from the resulting jars, or at least cdk-core.jar, which should give something like this output from my git checkout: $ jar tvf dist/jar/cdk-core.jar | grep xml 84731 Mon Jan 03 15:33:00 CET 2011 org/openscience/cdk/config/data/chemicalElements.xml 808935 Mon Jan 03 15:33:00 CET 2011 org/openscience/cdk/config/data/isotopes.xml 48081 Mon Jan 03 15:33:00 CET 2011 org/openscience/cdk/config/data/mm2_atomtypes.xml 68999 Mon Jan 03 15:33:00 CET 2011 org/openscience/cdk/config/data/mmff94_atomtypes.xml 5470 Mon Jan 03 15:33:00 CET 2011 org/openscience/cdk/config/data/mol2_atomtypes.xml 49701 Tue May 10 19:47:04 CEST 2011 org/openscience/cdk/config/data/pdb_atomtypes.xml 5302 Mon Jan 03 15:33:00 CET 2011 org/openscience/cdk/config/data/structgen_atomtypes.xml These .xml file are missing from the Debian's version of cdk-core.jar. I checked that the src/META-INF/core.datafiles file is in the puredist there. And those .xml files are in that tar.gz too... Not sure why they do not end up in the Debian's cdk-core.jar at this moment... -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing'), (300, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-686-bigmem (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages libcdk-java depends on: ii default-jre-headless [java5 1:1.6-40 Standard Java or Java compatible R ii gcj-4.4-jre-headless [java5 4.4.6-2 Java runtime environment using GIJ ii gcj-jre-headless [java5-run 4:4.4.5-4 Java runtime environment using GIJ ii openjdk-6-jre-headless [jav 6b18-1.8.7-2 OpenJDK Java runtime, using Hotspo ii sun-java6-jre [java5-runtim 6.24-2 Sun Java(TM) Runtime Environment ( libcdk-java recommends no packages.
