Package: recoll Version: 1.15.8-1 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable
After upgrading to recoll 1.15.8-1, it now segfaults on start. Rebuilding locally to get symbols in the binary, a gdb backtrace from qtgui/recoll says: Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault. 0x00007ffff5c627ab in std::basic_string<char, std::char_traits<char>, std::allocator<char> >::basic_string(std::basic_string<char, std::char_traits<char>, std::allocator<char> > const&) () from /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6 #0 0x00007ffff5c627ab in std::basic_string<char, std::char_traits<char>, std::allocator<char> >::basic_string(std::basic_string<char, std::char_traits<char>, std::allocator<char> > const&) () from /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6 #1 0x00000000004ea4e0 in pair (this=<value optimized out>) at /usr/include/c++/4.6/bits/stl_pair.h:104 #2 operator[] (this=<value optimized out>) at /usr/include/c++/4.6/bits/stl_map.h:453 #3 Rcl::InitFldToPrefs::InitFldToPrefs (this=<value optimized out>) at ../rcldb/rcldb.cpp:771 #4 0x0000000000420a4e in __static_initialization_and_destruction_0 () at ../rcldb/rcldb.cpp:793 #5 _GLOBAL__sub_I__ZN3Rcl14pathelt_prefixE () at ../rcldb/rcldb.cpp:1783 #6 0x000000000054418d in __libc_csu_init () #7 0x00007ffff53bee40 in __libc_start_main () from /lib/libc.so.6 #8 0x00000000004215e1 in _start () I guess it's not related to bug #513192, it was working fine last week (presumeably v. 1.15.7-2) until I upgraded. Reverting back to 1.15.7-2 from testing restores operation. -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.38-2-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_AU.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_AU.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages recoll depends on: ii libc6 2.13-4 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib ii libgcc1 1:4.6.0-7 GCC support library ii libqtcore4 4:4.7.3-1 Qt 4 core module ii libqtgui4 4:4.7.3-1 Qt 4 GUI module ii libstdc++6 4.6.0-7 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii libx11-6 2:1.4.3-1 X11 client-side library ii libxapian22 1.2.5-1 Search engine library ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3.4.dfsg-3 compression library - runtime Versions of packages recoll recommends: ii aspell 0.60.6-6 GNU Aspell spell-checker ii python 2.6.6-14 interactive high-level object-orie ii xsltproc 1.1.26-7+b1 XSLT 1.0 command line processor Versions of packages recoll suggests: ii antiword 0.37-6 Converts MS Word files to text, PS ii catdoc 0.94.2-1.1 MS-Word to TeX or plain text conve pn flac <none> (no description available) ii ghostscript 9.02~dfsg-2 interpreter for the PostScript lan pn libid3-tools <none> (no description available) pn libimage-exiftool-perl <none> (no description available) pn lyx <none> (no description available) ii poppler-utils 0.12.4-1.2 PDF utilitites (based on libpopple ii pstotext 1.9-5 Extract text from PostScript and P pn python-chm <none> (no description available) ii python-mutagen 1.19-2.1 audio metadata editing library ii unrtf 0.19.3-1.1+b1 RTF to other formats converter pn untex <none> (no description available) ii vorbis-tools 1.4.0-1 several Ogg Vorbis tools -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-rc-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
