Package: libdns69
Version: 1:9.7.3.dfsg-1~squeeze1
Severity: grave
Tags: ipv6
Justification: renders package unusable
There seems to be a problem with how libdns is linked to libgeoip1:
~% /usr/bin/dig
/usr/bin/dig: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/libdns.so.69: undefined symbol:
GeoIP_country_code_by_ipnum_v6
The same error is listed in the archived bug
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=584603
I was _not_ able to replicate on two other host, so I presume it related to
some setting.
However, the problem remains after installing libdns69 and dnsutil:
# apt-get remove --purge libdns69 dnsutils libgeoip1
# apt-get install geoip-database dnsutils wireshark
Any advice how to resolve this is kindly appreciated.
