Package: libdns69 Version: 1:9.7.3.dfsg-1~squeeze1 Severity: grave Tags: ipv6 Justification: renders package unusable
There seems to be a problem with how libdns is linked to libgeoip1: ~% /usr/bin/dig /usr/bin/dig: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/libdns.so.69: undefined symbol: GeoIP_country_code_by_ipnum_v6 The same error is listed in the archived bug http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=584603 I was _not_ able to replicate on two other host, so I presume it related to some setting. However, the problem remains after installing libdns69 and dnsutil: # apt-get remove --purge libdns69 dnsutils libgeoip1 # apt-get install geoip-database dnsutils wireshark Any advice how to resolve this is kindly appreciated. -- System Information: Debian Release: 6.0.1 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-686 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) (ignored: LC_ALL set to en_GB.UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages libdns69 depends on: ii libc6 2.11.2-10 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib ii libcap2 1:2.19-3 support for getting/setting POSIX. ii libgeoip1 1.4.7~beta6+dfsg-1 A non-DNS IP-to-country resolver l ii libgssapi-krb5-2 1.8.3+dfsg-4 MIT Kerberos runtime libraries - k ii libisc62 1:9.7.3.dfsg-1~squeeze1 ISC Shared Library used by BIND ii libssl0.9.8 0.9.8o-4squeeze1 SSL shared libraries ii libxml2 2.7.8.dfsg-2 GNOME XML library libdns69 recommends no packages. libdns69 suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-rc-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
