This appears to be a problem with the buildd. Here is an excerpt from the i386 build log: checking for pkg-config... no However, on mipsel here is what we see: checking for pkg-config... /usr/bin/pkg-config checking pkg-config is at least version 0.9.0... yes If you look at the build dependencies for coinor-ipopt, pkg-config is not listed there.
