Same here. After an update to the testing version 1.5.5-4 -> 1.6.6-2 pcscd fails to work. Installing the unstable version of pcscd and dependency same result, not working. Downgrading to the stable versions of libpcsclite1_1.5.5-4, libccid_1.3.11-2 and pcscd_1.5.5-4 (all amd64.deb) the cardreader started to work again.
