Package: libconcord1 Version: 0.22-2 Severity: critical Tags: squeeze sid Justification: causes serious data loss
I'm trying to update Logitech Harmony 555 remote. I've tried with concordance and congruity and both fail at the same point. So I think the problem is with libconcord. Connectivity tests work fine but both programs fail while erasing flash. This leaves the remote in non-working state. The whole remote hangs and all buttos are unresponsive. Even removing and resetting batteries don't help. I've tried this with package versions libconcord1 0.22-1 and 0.22-2 and concordance 0.22-1 and 0.22-2. Both fail similary. I can get the remote working again using package versions 0.21-5 of libconcord1 and concordance. Luckily I was able to grap those before they were removed from the server. With these versions the remote update completes and the remote is alive once again. The unresponsive remote scared me good, though. I would think that someone not having these older versions or knowledge how to install them is in serious trouble with his/hers remote. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-686 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=fi_FI.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fi_FI.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages libconcord1 depends on: ii libc6 2.11.2-2 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib ii libgcc1 1:4.4.4-8 GCC support library ii libstdc++6 4.4.4-8 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii libusb-0.1-4 2:0.1.12-15 userspace USB programming library libconcord1 recommends no packages. libconcord1 suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-rc-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
