Sylvain said privately (but I think I can repeat it) that it is almost a matter of taste. I disagree but I don't have a strong opinion on that. It was only an attempt to uniformize the location of META files. Feel free to implement whatever solution you like. From an ocamlfind POV, it doesn't matter.
