In fact, changing the (build-)deps is not enough. The package needs some
porting to Java 6, due to the change in some stdlib interface. Also, new
upstream releases of JHOVE are available, the most reasonable course of
action would be updating the package to follow them. Maintainer, are you
interested in packaging new upstream releases?

If not I believe the package should be dropped from Debian, also
considering that the popcon is really low.
