Package: moc
Version: 1:2.5.0~alpha3+svn20090611-1
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable
Starting after a (long due, I was away at DebConf) package update
yesterday, mocp stopped running. When invoking the server, I get:
$ mocp -S
Running the server...
Trying JACK...
Trying ALSA...
Program version 4.7 doesn't match environment version 4.6
The server process _does_ run, but is useless - i.e. when trying to
run it again, I get «FATAL_ERROR: Server is already running».
When invoking the client (i.e. without the -S switch), the interface
with the playlist gets properly displayed, but immediately prints out
a message at the line following the last found directory entry:
«FATAL_ERROR: Can't send() int to the server.»
The only component I can identify at a 4.7 version is libdb4.7, which
was last uploaded in June 29.
I tried to rebuild the package under a cowbuilder chroot to check
whether a BinNMU would work, but got a FTBFS (which I will file as an
independent bug).
Thanks for your work,
