The python-visual version upgrade (from 5.03~rc-2) has not resolved the
bug for me.
Here is the result of a attempt to display a sphere:

Let me also know that disabling shaders in site_settings.py gives a
slightly different error

but it seems to be the same issue causing the crash.
Any suggestions for debugging?
